Programme Overview

The aim of this programme is to equip participants with academic reading and writing skills, which is a minimum requirement for any academic course taken.

Programme Objective

It offers participants an opportunity to acquire the academic literacy skills needed in order to successfully pursue tertiary studies. The mastery of these skills will serve as a guide to all modules within the MDP.

After the successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a certificate (NQF level 5) issued and endorsed by the UFS. Recognition to the Higher Certificate in Management Development is available.

In this programme participants will learn to:

  1. Structure a reading effort and read with comprehension.
  2. Structure the writing of an assignment or report appropriately.
  3. Appropriately apply punctuation and referencing of sources.
